SISTERS OF SAINT JOSEPH OF PHILADELPHIA - CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

The Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia are seeking a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO actively manages the Congregation's financial resources, including the staff of the Finance Office. The CFO has primary responsibility for the technical aspects of all financial management and administration, including accounting, operational and capital budgeting, planning and forecasting, investment management and cash flow management. The CFO assists the Treasurer in ensuring the proper stewardship of the congregation's assets and supports the Treasurer in providing accurate and timely reporting to the General Council. The CFO will report to the Congregational Treasurer.

While candidates must possess applicable academic degrees, an MBA and/or CPA credentials is desirable. In addition, qualified candidates will be high level users of Office software packages, proficient with comprehensive computerized accounting packages, and have at least ten years of successful financial management experience with at least five years in a non-profit/charitable organization preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required along with strong organizational skills.

The successful candidate will be able to ensure that financial reporting and management are of the high standards, values, mission and vision of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.

ST. MARY BY-THE-SEA RETREAT CENTER - CHIEF ADMINISTRATOR

The Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia seek qualified candidates for the position of Chief Administrator of the St. Mary by-the-Sea Retreat Center in Cape May, New Jersey. The Chief Administrator is a full time position that will promote the mission and oversee all operations of the property, which includes the large main house with a capacity of 150 and two smaller houses. The Administrator of Saint Mary by-the-Sea reports to the General Council liaison and is ultimately accountable to the General Council of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.

Working with an Advisory Board, the Chief Administrator will coordinate strategic planning, financial oversight, development of calendars, assessment processes and any other items that affect the mission, roles, procedures and relationships associated with this special ministry.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate sensitivity to the general purposes of contemplation, hospitality, and relaxation for which the Retreat House is known. Furthermore, candidates are sought who are collaborative leaders who are articulate and skilled in print and non-print communication.
